My father-in-law, Billy, brought over his power-washer, and we unleashed it on the truck. This was preceded by the fun of actually driving the truck (even if only around the house and into the backyard). Yes, of course, my driver's seat was the lawnchair - what else?? We washed the outside, the inside (have no fear, the lawn-chair was not injured during the washing of this vehicle - it was removed beforehand), underneath (as much as could be reached without lifting it up), in the wheel-wells, and in the engine bay.
Here are some pics with a glimpse of the red painting at the end too...

Before:

And after ("holy rust, Batman!")... lots of work ahead back here:

Engine bay, Before (a while back) and then after:

More engine (after):

Finally, some paint (Just a rough Rustoleum Red spray-on job for now...):

And for my bride, Karen wanted me to throw a Tucker picture in there from the weekend....

Visual progress?!?! I'm amazed! With that paint, you can really begin to tell what it will eventually look like. Awesome job!
It is about time.
Dude I just got a 72 bronco sport that looks exactly the same and I am going for the same look. I also don't know anything about them an I am learning as I go. My best tool so far has been classicbroncos.com. Email me and I'll send you some pics of mine. We might be experienceing the same kind of problems. Moebids@gmail.com.

Officially three months with no updates. You should have gone through several cases of Rustoleum spray paint by now, but I hear that there may be things even more important than Broncos and blogs to focus on now.
Josh, You heard correctly : ), but part of the other side of that means I need to get quite a bit done over the bit of time! More painting to come...
We need an update and more pics. Any progress?
Slack slack slack... apologies. Nursery duties have taken over. But the nursery is almost complete, and more paint is on the truck, but I want to get all the way around the outside of the truck before next set of pics. It's coming along... I will post pics once painted all the way around.
Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
Ok, it's been a year since the last update. We need to see some more progress. :)
